SEA BASE engaging science programs at the Aquarium
Ocean-based learning is front & center for STEM! Our acclaimed curriculum offers 3 levels of immersion:
101 -a 50 minute fun filled introduction to the ocean and our amazing aquarium residents. Learn how to tell one fish species from another; engage in a hide and find scavenger hunt; touch exciting creatures in the Tide Pool; meet one of our Ed-bassador animals up close and personal. $110.00 for up to 30 total attending
202 -a 90 minute unique experience that includes most all of the 101 program plus a 30 minute focus lesson. We can design a lab on invertebrates, water quality, weather/climate, ocean ecology, and more! Schedule today and allow Team ECCO to enrich your learning. $135.00 30 people maximum attending
303 -a 2 hour program that gets in deep with ocean labs and expansion on your Science Standards. Start with the intro program of a 101, and then catch the wave of ocean exploration - without leaving the mountains. Program options are limited only by your imagination! $150.00 30 people attending maximum
* 202 & 303 programs offer focus learning on marine invertebrates, water quality, ecological limiting factors, oceanic zones, coral, sharks and rays, fish ID, ocean ecology, and more!
With the 202 or 303, a live small shark and ray feed may be included as a class for a $40 fee. Let us enrich your science platform with real-time, hands-in classes and programs that ignite a desire to learn more.
Due to interaction policies, group size is limited to 30 total attending for both Sea Base 202 & 303.
One teacher admitted off of the total number attending with each Sea Base program.

INTERNSHIP high school: Jr & Sr. College College Postgraduate
The Team ECCO Intern Program is an invaluable training experience. Accepted interns are worked through a well-rounded aquarist program that incorporates marine science, animal husbandry, ecosystem development, water quality management, full system filtering, fish and invertebrate ID, public speaking/ relations, and teaching.
Intern placements are limited. Applications are accepted each semester. The limited spaces allow 3 high school level interns, 1 college level intern, and 1 post college / adult intern each semester. The training is rigorous and gratifying. Students leave with an experience that strengthens their marine science knowledge, fosters their desire to learn, and support real world skills.
The semester long internship requires engagement Tuesday – Friday each week. High school students should check with their Career Leader for seeking placement.
During summer, Team ECCO accepts interns by application and interview. Intern positions are unpaid and unhoused. Terms run 4-6 consecutive weeks. Please contact the Executive Director,
Mrs. B. Ramer, at bjramer@teamecco.org.
